Foster Care Support Worker (Full-Time) Opportunity:

The Foster Care Support Worker is responsible for support services to children and youth and their foster families in order to promote enduring substitute family-based care.

  • Skilled in building relationships with clients and foster parents with professional boundaries
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Willingness to constantly learn and evolve
  • Organized; with a strong focus on accurate and consistent record-keeping
  • Creative problem solving 
  • Flexible and adaptive to change

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or undergraduate degree in Human Services, e.g., Child and Youth Care, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or related fields and four years related experience.
  • In-home support experience working with young people and families preferred.
  • Current certifications in Standard First Aid/Level C CPR, PIC, IRC, Valid Driver’s License, and Driver’s Abstract.
