The Aurora House group care program is designed to provide services, for young people 13-17 years of age that have Children’s Services status and whose primary issues of concern are related to their psychological, emotional, and/or psychosocial development. The primary goal of the program is to provide a safe, nurturing environment by addressing their need for safety, a sense of belonging, healthy relationships, and personal and educational development. The focus will be on addressing their complex trauma needs and developing skills that support each child’s resilience – emotional management, learning, problem-solving, and social skills. The program is client-centered, which means we empower the client to take an active role in their program, and we honor their unique individual process.
